WHAT DOES 'CRUX' MEAN?
The word crux is used to describe the most difficult point. In climbing, the crux of a route requires the most focus, intentional physical and/or mental training and is the section of the route that will be the most frustrating. The crux is also the aspect of the route that is the most rewarding when you strengthen yourself physically and/or mentally to work through and over come the challenge in front of you.
